Chorda has four basic playing modes that allow you to lay down the foundations of a song. First is Drum mode, where each pad is a different part of a drum kit. Second is Bass mode, which is set to a monophonic major/minor scale. Next is Chord mode, where each pad triggers multiple notes simultaneously to form chords, always tuned to the key of the song (that’s right, you can press one pad and play an entire 3-finger chord formation). Finally, there’s Lead mode, which is polyphonic and set to a pentatonic scale by default.
To switch between Chorda’s playing Modes, simply press A and the pad for the Mode you’d like to play. For example, if you’d like to go to Chord mode, hold A and tap Pad 3.
Additionally, if you press the A button by itself, it will cycle through the four modes automatically.
