USB C ➡️ Lightning (un)connectivity

My Orba 2 just refuses to connect to both my iPhone and iPad via lightning (thus rendering the sample functionality unusable). It connects to both devices via Bluetooth though! Am I missing something or did I just get an Orba with a strong personality?

A simple charging cable does not work, unfortunately. To allow USB Midi, which Orba is using, you need the Apple Lightning to USB adapter.

Thank you for stepping in.

Totally my bad, the need for an Apple Lightning to USB adapter is even clearly stated on the manual.

Unfortunately I don’t own one so the prospect of spending around € 30 to be able to use the sampling functionality on the € 150 Orba 2 will take some time to settle in!
